Description

Batman Magicar Batmobile with Original Box (Spot On, 1966). From the golden age of caped crusader collectibles comes this vintage 1966 Tri-ang Magicar Batmobile, a sleek nod to the legendary ride from the classic Batman television series. Made in Northern Ireland and produced by Tri-ang's Spot-On division, this 1:42 scale die-cast marvel was part of the inventive Magicar Motoring system, a battery-powered slot car line that offered dual play-on and off track-with a removable guide peg and a clever "Magic Touch" feature allowing start/stop motion with a simple tap. Finished in glossy black with bold red trim, clear bubble canopies, and miniature figures of Batman and Robin seated inside, this collectible perfectly captures the mid-'60s superhero flair. This particular Batmobile includes the original packaging, which has been previously opened and shows vintage wear along the edges and corners, with whitened corners, creasing on the upper panel corners, dents in the cellophane window, and surface scuffing throughout. Also included is the original product label, once affixed to the bottom front panel but now loose yet present. With its playful design, TV-accurate details, and nostalgic charm, this Magicar Batmobile made in Northern Ireland remains a standout piece from the dawn of Batman's pop culture dominance.
