Description

Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (TCF, 1977). Fine+ on Linen. TEAC & TASCAM One-Sheet (27" x 41"). TEAC and TASCAM equipment were used to create R2-D2's "beep-boop" droid voice for Star Wars. Modeled after the Teaser Style B, these one-sheets were created by Gore Graphics as part of a promotional package developed by George Lucas and TASCAM to showcase the new special effects technology. After the posters were printed, the promotional plans were abandoned, and nearly all of the posters were destroyed. Less than a dozen are known to exist, including the example mentioned here. Mounted on linen, the poster exhibits some scuffing at the lower right and has received touch-ups to scattered creases throughout. Extremely scarce in any condition, this remarkable rarity is well-presented.
