Alice Brady's Baby Gloves. This pair of 3" x 5" leather baby gloves with fur lining were worn by actress Alice Brady during infancy. Born on November 2, 1892, Brady achieved great success on Broadway (where she persuaded a young ne'er-do-well named Humphrey Bogart to take up acting) and in Hollywood, achieving two Best Supporting Actress nominations for My Man Godfrey (1936) and In Old Chicago (1937), for which she won the Oscar. A unique memento of a wonderful actress who died before her time in 1939 at age 46. In Very Fine condition with some wear and soiling. From the William and Alice Brady Estate Archive.
