Jean Simmons Until They Sail Screen-Worn Wigs. Two-time Academy Award-nominated actress Jean Simmons donned these two brown wigs in her role as Barbara Leslie Forbes in the 1957 historical romance Until They Sail. The two hairpieces are made from human hair and were hand-tied, include both the original MGM studio box and the record card. The label on the front of the cardboard box reads "818 A B ¾ fall, DK Brown 5" J. Simmons". The wig stock record card reads "stock no. 818 A&B, Original Player: Jean Simmons, Description: DK. Brown ¾ Falls 5", Prod. #1712". Both wigs share the record card and studio box and are overall in Very Good condition. Wig 818A has had some minor repair. The box has a damaged corner and slight brown moisture staining along the top edge. The bottom of the box has a few cracks along the side edge, and some water stains along the back corner side edge.
