Fatty Arbuckle Handwritten Note with Photo. A single-page note on heavy paper, dated December 1, 1932, handwritten and signed "Roscoe Fatty Arbuckle" by the silent-era movie comedian in black ink. The letter reads: "To Mrs. Lee. Take it from a 100 per cent Californian who is familiar with his Spanish food, you know the racket. We will be back again and often." One of the highest-paid stars of the silent era, a controversial manslaughter trial and the ensuing scandal forever ruined Arbuckle's career. He died six months after this note was written, while in the middle of a brief but successful comeback. The note is in Very Fine to Excellent condition, and is accompanied by a b&w 5.25" x 6.5" photo of Arbuckle and co-star Mabel Normand. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
