Edie Adams' Li'l Abner Archive. Edie Adams won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance as Daisy Mae in the 1956 Broadway musical adaptation of Al Capp's popular comic strip, which ran for 693 performances. Unfortunately, she was not selected to reprise the role in the 1959 movie version, and was replaced with Leslie Parrish instead. This selection of Abner-related items comes from Adams' personal collection, and includes a poster for the stage version and associated newspaper and magazine clippings that feature photos of Adams as Daisy Mae, plus a 30" x 20" pencil and ink cartoon drawing of Adams in character (Fine condition with wear to the edges and corners), signed by artist Paul Webb.
