Description

Black Sabbath 1982 Dio-Era Columbia, MD Concert Poster. A horizontal poster for a Black Sabbath show at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. The band had a new life thanks to former Rainbow vocalist Ronnie James Dio taking over the microphone from Ozzy Osbourne. Things were about to change, though.

Despite the success of Heaven and Hell and The Mob Rules, Dio and drummer Vinny Appice would leave the band at the end of 1982 to form a new band. (Dio and Appice would reunite with Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler in the 2000s, but as Heaven & Hell and not Black Sabbath.)

Measures 19 ¾" x 12 ½". In Very Good condition with a 1" tear in the upper center portion (with tape repair on verso), creasing, scratches, toning, staining, bumped corners, and folds. COA from Heritage Auctions.
