Description

(The Beatles-Related) Original Strawberry Field Brick from the Children's Home #1559 with COA and Presentation Box. "Let me take you down / 'Cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields"

Argumentatively John Lennon's best song. Here is a true gem and piece of Beatles, John Lennon and rock n roll history. An actual brick from the children's home for which the song was inspired. The name Strawberry Fields became immortalized in February of 1967 with the release of the Beatles' single, "Strawberry Fields Forever," written by John Lennon.

John grew up in close proximity to the children's home and was excited to attend the annual Garden Party with his Aunt Mimi. John found the place gave him a sense of peace and tranquility and would often climb over the wall to play in the grounds. The large Victorian mansion was the center piece of the estate. It was demolished in the 1970s.

When they were working on new plans they managed to salvage some of the original bricks. This brick was recovered in 2018. There were only 2,500 bricks recovered and this is number #1559. Overall condition is Very Good Plus. Comes with label strip, numbered hologram, presentation box and COA with the Salvation Army logo included. Be sure and add this rare piece to the collection. Comes with COAs from the Salvation Army and Heritage Auctions.
