Description

The Beatles New Beat Guitar in Original Box by Selcol (UK, 1964). A 32" long orange plastic four string guitar with a pickguard, a round color Beatles photo and a "New Beat" ID tag glued on the front. Also facsimile first name signatures printed on the body. Has original strings and tuning pegs. The coffin-shaped cardboard box bears a 9" diameter color label with a Beatle photo, facsimile autographs and the text: "Beatles New Beat Guitar." In overall Very Good to Very Good Plus condition with some tape stains, white paint spatter, tape residue, tearing, water staining and scuffing. Guitar shows some play wear, scuffs and scratches. headstock shows some paint loss. Overall in Very Good Plus condition. A very displayable piece that is getting harder to find. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
