Description

Tony Bennett, Duke Ellington 1968 New York City Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising what can only be called two super-legends of the music world, Tony Bennett and Duke Ellington, playing two evening shows at New York's Philharmonic Hall in Lincoln Center Plaza on Sunday, March 3, 1968. Comedian Jack E. Leonard was the non-musical opening act, and WNEW radio personality William B. Williams was the Master of Ceremonies. Nice color scheme of the performers in yellow, orange and pink against an otherwise B&W, glossy-finish poster.

Measures 14" x 22" and grades to Very Good Minus condition. A surplus of scuffing to the jet-black surface, best seen to the left of "Jack E. Leonard" but present all throughout. Or, it could've possibly been just the printer running low/weak on black ink at this time. Surface grime & dirt to the right white margin. Bumped, creased and rounded corners throughout. From the Jim Cook Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.
