The Rolling Stones Black and Blue US Promo Display (1976). Rare cardboard promotional display in (2) parts promoting the Stones' 1976 album Black and Blue. (1) Part featuring Anita Russell bound by her hands, measuring approx. 32.5" x 36"; the other (1) part displaying the album cover featuring the band members, measuring approx. 16" x 25". Due to its perceived dark and suggestive themes, the design was considered highly controversial on its release. As expected from these vintage displays, exhibits handling wear or bending to the cardboard especially the Anita Russell part which has tape securing one foot and the waist fold. A highly visual reminder of the Rolling Stones' continued ability to push the envelope with the promotion of their album releases. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
