Jerry Lewis Custom Made Sy Devore Jacket Gifted to David Costell. Custom made by Sy Devore in Hollywood, this is a single-breasted sports jacket exclusively made for Jerry Lewis, per the interior tag. Circa 1957. Gifted to David Costell, the lead guitarist of Gary Lewis and the Playboys ahead of the band's appearance on the Cash Box awards show, where they were presented as Best New Group of 1965. According to Costell, he did not have an appropriate jacket to wear for the show and mentioned this at the Lewis home in Bel Air. So Jerry Lewis offered him a few of his jackets. This is the one that Costell wore that night and he kept it. Has light wear and small holes around the cuffs. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
