The Godfather Part II (Paramount, 1974), Extremely Rare Assortment of (100+) Behind-the-Scenes Photos and Press Materials. As a producer on the Academy Award-winning The Godfather Part II, Fred Roos had exceptional access to behind-the-scenes photography and internal studio materials documenting one of the most acclaimed sequels in film history. Offered here is a remarkable and extremely rare collection of (100+) original behind-the-scenes stills and press materials from the production. Included are glossy and custom photographic prints, most with photographer's stamp or numbering on the verso, capturing intimate moments from the set of Francis Ford Coppola's epic continuation of the Corleone saga. Many images feature Roos working closely with Coppola, reflecting their trusted creative partnership. Additional stills include candid and posed shots of principal cast members, including Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, John Cazale, and newcomer Robert De Niro, who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of the young Don Vito Corleone-a role previously made famous by Marlon Brando. Also included is a small grouping of preliminary studio press materials related to the film's promotion and awards campaign. Photographs range in size from 8" x 10" to 9" x 12" and exhibit expected signs of production use and age, including corner bumping, surface creasing, and light fading. A small number of later inkjet reproductions are present but have not been included in the official item count. A rare visual archive from one of the most celebrated films of the 20th century, sourced directly from a key figure behind its success.
