Cinefantastique Magazine (Volume 17, Number 2), Gale Heimbach Original Cover Artwork from Star Trek: The Original Series. Original cover artwork by Gale Heimbach for the March 1987 issue of Cinefantastique Magazine depicting the main cast members from the original Star Trek series including Capt. Kirk (William Shatner), Spock (Leonard Nimoy), Leonard McCoy (DeForest Kelley), Montgomery Scott (James Doohan), and Lt. Uhura (Nichelle Nichols), along with the USS Enterprise in the foreground. This cover artwork for the 20th anniversary of the series is accomplished in acrylic on artist's board measuring 12" x 17" and signed by the artist on the recto. Retains original Cinefantastique office sticker on the verso with handwritten "1A 8870" in red felt-tip with leaf overlay taped to verso to cover the artwork for protection. Exhibits some signs of handling and wear including corner bumps to the board with central image presenting vividly. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
