Black Sabbath 1970 Eel Pie Island, England Concert Poster. A large yellow, black and brown poster for a performance by Black Sabbath early in their career on Eel Pie Island on Friday night, May 15, 1970. The small island surrounded by the River Thames is near London.

Touting "Hot Snacks" and "Drinks" being "Only 300 Yards from Station," it was a destination kind of show that was accommodating for those coming to the island for entertainment. Black Sabbath only had their self-titled debut LP out at this point. Starting out as a blues band and morphing into a proto-metal band, the Birmingham-based quartet turned heads with their thick riffs and dark imagery. Sabbath's popularity would continue to rise, easily outgrowing this eight-acre island venue. Measures 20" x 30". In Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
