Description

Grateful Dead 1973 Buffalo, NY "Stars of Watkins Glen" Small Concert Poster. An original yellow-paper small but amazingly charming concert poster for the Grateful Dead "And Friends" appearing at the Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo, New York on Wednesday night, September 26, 1973. The uncredited artwork on this amateurish, small-town but totally cool poster shows an "exhausted" airplane with Dead members' faces in the windows. And notice their Europe '72 logo on the plane, too. This was indeed "the last stop..." - for about three weeks, until the band picked up the tour again in Oklahoma City.

This first-ever Heritage offering measures 8 1/2" x 14" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. From the Tim Backstrom Grateful Dead Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: The poster has a few spots of surface blemishing on the verso; the front looks impeccably clean.
