Description

(The Beatles-Related) Abbey Road NW8 Street Sign "City of Westminster" 17.5" by 30". The Beatles named their final studio album Abbey Road (1969) after the EMI Abbey Road Studios where it was recorded, which in turn took its name from its North London location. Both the album and its cover image, which depicts the Beatles walking across said street, have since become music icons (the street has been a tourist attraction since 1970).

This example measuring approx: 17.5" by 30" is one of the series of metal signs from London Dept. of Public Works.

It was originally purchased through Tracks U.K. In overall Near Mint condition with some scratches and rust on the verso. Will display well indeed. COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Gregg Oehlke Music Archive.
