Bill Haley and the Comets EP Group of 2 Essex 102 and 117 (1954). Before the group literally kicked off the Rock 'n Roll era in 1955 with "Rock Around the Clock" on Decca, they had recorded for Essex in the early 1950s, and the label had continued to release previously recorded singles after the boys had moved to Decca.
