Rocky CIB Betamax 1982 - CGC Home Video 8.5, Dual Window Drawer Box, Unsealed CIB, 20th Century Fox Video. Rocky is a 1976 sports drama film that tells the story of Rocky Balboa, a small-time boxer from Philadelphia who gets a shot at the heavyweight championship. The film was a huge success, earning critical acclaim and grossing over $225 million worldwide, and it won three Academy Awards, including Best Picture. This unsealed CIB Beta copy of Rocky comes in the first retail-release 20th Century Fox Video drawer-box. This copy would have followed the "Video Rental Library" copies that were made available only to video rental stores. Those "Video Rental Library" copies are believed to have been shipped unsealed and were required to be returned to the studio after the six month rental window was over. From there they were destroyed, so only a very small handful still exist today. This retail drawer-box copy has received a grade of 8.5 by CGC Home Video, with a Case grade of 8.0 and a Media grade of 9.0.
