Conceived as a way to receive a nice paycheck/payback (which they did not get with the first film), John Carpenter and Debra Hill drummed up this sequel to Carpenter's seminal horror classic. Fueled by a lot of Budweiser during the writing process, Halloween II picks up right where the original left off, continuing the night of terror in Haddonfield as Laurie Strode, now wounded, is rushed to the hospital while the relentless Michael Myers continues his murderous pursuit. Released in 1981, the film received generally positive reviews from fans who appreciated its seamless continuation of the story, suspenseful atmosphere, and the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie. Fans of the franchise hold Part 2 in high regard for its ability to maintain the tension and horror of the original, making it an essential and beloved chapter in the enduring saga of Michael Myers.

This 1987 factory sealed VHS copy of Halloween II is the second release of the film on home video, coming after the original MCA "rainbow" release in 1982. It has received an overall grade of 80+ NM by VGA, with a Box subgrade of 85 and a Seal subgrade of 80.
