Original poster art for the unmade film The Gladiators. Original poster art for the unmade film The Gladiators. (United Artists, c. 1960s) Original monochromatic poster art for the unmade epic "The Gladiators". At the time that Yul Brynner was pushing for "The Gladiators" to be made, Kirk Douglas' Spartacus was green lit, in effect, killing Brynner's pet project. Accomplished in gouache on 26.5 x 35 in. illustration board. The large and dramatic artwork features regal Yul Brynner in full gladiator armor with sketches of other fighters in the margins. Minor soiling and tape remnants on edges. Some corner loss not interfering with artwork. In overall, good condition. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
