The series started with the release of the original Golden Tee Golf in 1989. Golden Tee Fore! Features 18-hole golf courses with different themes and levels of difficulty and available shortcuts or trick shots to cut strokes off the player's score. The difficulty level increases with each hole played culminating in hard-to-reach fairways, high winds, and steeply graded greens. Changes occur each time a new game is started, creating a unique experience in every round. The creators of Golden Tee also added "Easter eggs" to their games like aliens, Bigfoot, corpses, and groundhogs with Coca-Cola cans. This game has special features including: player identification, stats tracking and ability to join online tournaments. Player identification was enabled through the use of a Golden Tee Card, used to create an online user account that could track statistics. Approx. 75 in. tall x 25 in. wide x 44 in. deep.
