Pan's Labyrinth (Tequila Gang, 2006), Raúl Monge - Mill's Machinery Concept Sketch Original Art. This concept sketch of the mill's machinery interior from Pan's Labyrinth showcases the stark, oppressive atmosphere at the heart of the fascist stronghold, its cold precision echoing the film's themes of control and repression. The detailed architectural vision is brought to life through the skilled hand of artist Raúl Monge. The dark heart of the real world, Monge's sketch of the Mill's Machinery setting stands as the locale where Captain Vidal (Sergi López) plots to quash the partisan rebellion in the hillside while obsessively tinkering with his watch and shaving in front of the mirror. The cold mechanics of the mill stand in stark contrast to the ancient, mythic wonder of the labyrinth, where Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) seeks respite and refuge. Colored pencil and graphite on paper with an image area of 16" x 12". Signed by Raúl Monge on the right edge of the image area. Exhibits light handling. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.

"This is one of the most precise and beautiful set sketches I have ever handled. It managed to capture the symmetry and concept of the set. I love circles and gears and the idea of people and things trapped in time. Vidal is trapped in the memory of his father's watch. The set was meant to represent that." From the personal collection of Guillermo del Toro.
