Papa's Delicate Condition, consisting of (1) custom-tailored brown wool pinstripe suit jacket and vest from Sy Devore with single-breasted 2- button closure, peak lapels, and flap pockets, retaining double internal maker's label typed "Jackie Gleason" "5-9-62" "8831", vest with 5- button closure and slash pockets, retaining internal maker's label typed "Jackie Gleason" "5-9-62" "8831", and (1) custom-tailored indigo blue double-breasted wool overcoat with peak lapels, white pearl-toned buttons, retaining internal Sy Devore maker's label, accompanied by a crème, black, and grey check patterned vest with 5- button closure and slash pockets, retaining internal maker's label typed "Jackie Gleason" "5-9-62" "8828" and Paramount Studios stamp, and a pair of Hunt Britches baby blue dress pants with pink and yellow stripes and hook-and-eye and zipper closure. The film follows Griffith in his failed attempts to earn his family's love and respect, including by purchasing a circus to impress his daughter, though he is blinded by poor decision making and his yearning for the next drink. All items exhibiting production handling and age including stains to the crème vest, small hole to the brown vest, pulled closure button on the brown jacket, and other minor signs of wear.
