Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Universal, 2008), Raven Guard Screen Used Fighting Sword. The Raven Guards (aka Butcher Guards) are Elven King Balor's (Roy Dotrice) loyal, personal guards who don large beak-shaped helmets. In addition to being armed with their wide-bladed swords, the Raven Guards carry smaller, nimble swords of this variety that are distinctive by their hilts in the form of a femur. This sword was crafted for action sequences, ensuring safety during intense combat scenes between the Raven Guards and Prince Nuada (Luke Goss) when he assassinates his father, King Balor. During the fight, Nuada steals two of these swords from the guards and uses the weapons to easily vanquish them. The 23.75" dense rubber blade is reinforced with an internal metal armature for added rigidity, and the femur at the end of the hilt is crafted of foam rubber. The grip is resin wrapped in black cloth. The sword is accompanied by its black wooden scabbard with leather strap. Sword measures 42" in its scabbard. Exhibits production wear on the blade's silver paint finish with scuffing on the scabbard. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the personal collection of Guillermo del Toro.
