Batman (TCF TV, 1966-1968), Burt Ward "Robin" Batarang. Vintage original Batarang prop device made of rigid cast resin in the distinctive crescent shape of a bat, expertly studio-painted in shimmery blue automotive paint, and with a hole cut to one side for attaching rope, as used by Robin (Burt Ward) in the original run of the hit superhero television series. With distinctive features including two points resembling bat ears and ridgelines to accentuate the bat's wings, this prop is indicative of the ingenious production design and props creation that went into making the world of Batman leap from the pulpy pages of the comic book onto television screens across America in the 1960s. Measures approx. 10" x 5", showing production wear and age including some chipping to paint, exposing the brownish-hue of the underlying resin cast. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From The Stewart Berkowitz Television Treasures Collection.
