Vintage Superhero & Sci-Fi Activity Books Group (various, 1945-74). An engaging four-piece assortment spanning three decades of pop culture imagination, anchored by The 3 Famous Flying Marvels (Fawcett Publications, 1945) - a punch-out paper toy book starring Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel, and Captain Marvel Jr. Published at the height of the "Big Red Cheese's" wartime popularity, this interactive 25ยข booklet let kids assemble their own Marvel Family team in full three-dimensional form. Joining it is the Thunderbirds Sticker Book (Whitman, 1968), a colorful relic from Gerry Anderson's visionary world of marionette heroes, and two copies of the Planet of the Apes Picture Activity Album (Artcraft, c.1974), capturing the simian sci-fi saga's grip on mid-'70s fandom. All four books are unused, with the punch-outs, stickers, and activity pages fully intact. Light to moderate handling wear is present throughout, and the Flying Marvels copy shows some age toning to the interior pages consistent with its vintage. Together, these represent a nostalgic paper time capsule-bridging Golden Age superhero spectacle, British TV futurism, and Hollywood's primal sci-fi revolution. A wonderfully diverse grouping that embodies the evolution of mid-century adventure fandom from pulp to pop icon.
