Jackie Gleason Group of Early Episode Scripts and Written Materials from the 1950s. Vintage original group of (15) scripts from Jackie Gleason's earliest television work, offering a rare look into written, production-ready documentation for some of Gleason's most iconic characters and sketches, including (1) sketch from the Four Star Revue (NBC TV, 1950-1953) labeled "The Poor Soul Has a Blind Date" and dated in red pencil, July 18, 1951, (4) sketch scripts for Cavalcade of Stars (DuMont, 1949-1952), featuring early sketches of "The Honeymooners" including several so-called "Lost Episodes" such as "Vacation Plans", "Manager of the Baseball Team", and "The Home Run Ball", (5) script sketches from The Jackie Gleason Show (CBS TV, 1952-1957), including "Alice's Aunt Ethel", "Alice's Birthday", "The Bus Accident", "Two Tickets to the Fight", and "The Dorsey Brother's Show", and (5) scripts from The Honeymooners (CBS TV, 1955-1956), including the Episodes, "The Sleepwalker", "Mind Your Business", "Opportunity Knocks But", "Here Comes the Bride", and "Oh, My Achin' Back". Several scripts contain handwritten notations, production notes, and additional markings, along with other signs of age and wear including foxing, bumped corners, and some paper tears, with 1- script signed by Gleason in pencil reading, "To Catherine - Jackie Gleason".
