Barry (HBO 2018-2022), Henry Winkler "Gene Cousineau" Signature Green Jacket from Season 4. Henry Winkler reinvented himself in the late 2010s with his acclaimed role in Barry, Bill Hader's offbeat comedy-drama series. Playing acting teacher Gene Cousineau, Winkler delivered sage (and often self-serving) advice to a class full of hopefuls, while reflecting on his own fall from grace in Hollywood. As the perfect comic foil to Hader's assassin-turned-wannabe-actor Barry, Cousineau quickly became a fan favorite -- instantly recognizable to anyone who's ever taken an acting class in Los Angeles.
Featured here is perhaps Winkler's second-most iconic wardrobe piece: Gene's signature hunter green safari-style jacket, worn throughout the show's final season, typically layered over a shirt and tie. The jacket features distinctive X-stitching on the shoulders, flap pockets at the chest and waist, a button front, and rolled cuffs.
Accompanying the jacket is a handwritten letter from Henry Winkler, dated May 26, 2025, on his personal stationery. It reads:
