Star Wars Princess Leia Utility Belt Roleplay Toy Canadian Release AFA Q80 (Kenner, 1979). While Kenner's action figures defined the Star Wars toy line, the company also experimented with roleplay items that let kids step directly into the galaxy far, far away. Among the rarest of these early efforts is the Princess Leia Utility Belt, released in 1979. Featuring a belt with holster and blaster, the set invited fans to channel Leia Organa's leadership and courage at a time when roleplay toys were still an emerging category in the Star Wars brand. Distribution was limited, and very few examples have survived. This Canadian release has been graded AFA Q80 NM with subgrades of B80 W80 F85. The "Q" (Qualified) designation reflects an opened box with complete and unused contents. The packaging retains solid presence with balanced subgrades across box, window, and figure categories, especially notable given the fragility and rarity of this early roleplay piece. A pivotal artifact from the earliest years of Star Wars merchandising, the Princess Leia Utility Belt underscores the character's importance within the franchise and the risks Kenner took in extending the line beyond figures. For collectors seeking the rarest Leia items-or the most unusual Canadian exclusives-this represents a singular opportunity to secure one of the line's hardest-to-find roleplay toys.
