Cro-Magnon Man (730-150), Cro-Magnon Woman (731-150), & Neanderthal Man (729) Prehistoric Scenes Model Kits (Aurora, 1971). This trio of factory-sealed model kits from Aurora's Prehistoric Scenes line offers a visually engaging and historically themed glimpse into one of the company's most iconic educational series. Each box features classic 1970s artwork and remains sealed in its original cellophane, preserving the display value that makes this line a standout among vintage model kit collectors.

The Cro-Magnon Man kit (730-150) shows mild crushing to the bottom of the box, which has resulted in corner damage and creasing along the bottom panel, though the cellophane wrap remains tight and intact. The Cro-Magnon Woman kit (731-150) also retains its original shrinkwrap, but the taut cellophane has caused several of the panels to bow, leading to surface creasing and veining, particularly around the upper edges and corners. The Neanderthal Man kit (729) displays similar signs of wear, with mild crushing to the bottom of the box and a small hole in the cellophane. The tight wrap has also created some corner creasing and light veining.

Despite the packaging flaws, all three boxes remain sealed and displayable, with strong visual appeal and original presentation. These are excellent examples of Aurora's creative commitment to educational modeling, and they remain sought-after by hobbyists and collectors interested in vintage science-themed kits. Whether you plan to build a Stone-Age tableau or spotlight vintage box art, these kits deliver a direct link to Aurora's golden age-when plastic parts, a tube of glue, and a rainy Saturday could resurrect an epoch. Add them to your shelf and let the Ice Age roam again.
