An early icon of superhero merchandising, Aurora's Superman model kit debuted in 1963 as part of their groundbreaking line of licensed comic character kits-bringing the Man of Steel from comic page to three-dimensional form. Sculpted punching through a brick wall, cape billowing behind him, this kit captured the strength and nobility that defined Superman's Silver Age presence. It was one of the first mass-market superhero kits ever released, setting a precedent for generations of collectibles to follow. This example is graded AFA 85 NM+, a top-tier score for a vintage model kit of this era and the highest graded example of this kit.
