Alfred E. Neuman (802-149) & Green Beret (413-98) Model Kits (Aurora, 1965-66). Aurora's 1960s figure line captured pop culture at its quirkiest and most topical. Alfred E. Neuman (#802-149, 1965) translates MAD Magazine's gap-toothed mascot into build-it-yourself satire, complete with his signature "What, Me Worry?" grin. The original shrink remains in place-now a bit loose with a small hole at the upper left corner-while the box art still pops, and corner wear stays minimal. His patriotic counterpart, the Green Beret (#413-98, 1966), channels mid-Vietnam-era heroism in plastic form. This kit also retains its cello wrap, though the film shows scattered splits, and the box edges carry light-to-moderate shelf rub. Together, the pair offers a snapshot of Aurora's knack for turning both satire and soldiering into hobby-table icons-ideal for builders chasing unassembled nostalgia or collectors rounding out a 1960s display.
