DC Batman & Robin (Loose) Hand Puppets (Ideal, 1966). This vibrant pair of Batman and Robin hand puppets from Ideal Toys captures the fun and flair of 1960s superhero merchandising at its most playful. Released in 1966 at the height of Batman mania, these puppets feature soft vinyl heads with bright character detailing, paired with printed vinyl bodies styled after their classic comic book looks. The Batman puppet comes in its original factory bag with attached header card, while the Robin puppet is loose and fully intact.
The Batman puppet, still sealed in its clear plastic bag, includes the original dual-branded header card reading "Batman-Superman Hand Puppet" with artwork of Batman and Superman. The figure itself shows light aging, consistent with long-term storage, but remains bright and display-worthy. The Robin puppet is clean and unfaded, with sharp printing and strong color on both the head and body. These puppets are some of the earliest examples of mass-market DC Comics character toys, and offer a colorful slice of Silver Age superhero history.
