1947 Martin D-28 Natural Acoustic Guitar, Serial #100953.
1947 Martin D-28 featuring a well-worn original Natural finish, with minor touch-up around the bridge area. The bridge itself has been replaced and shows signs of minor crack repair. The tight-grained Sitka spruce top displays several repaired pickguard cracks, all completed without the use of patches. X-bracing has been professionally reglued, and the bridge plate has been replaced with a correctly sized maple substitute. Several back braces have also been reglued, and the guitar shows two repaired back cracks-again, with no patching. The highly figured Brazilian rosewood back and sides are visually stunning. Frets are original and low; the guitar would benefit from both a neck reset and refret.
