1966 Topps Batman Riddler Back Complete 38 Card Set & Secret Decoder - All Graded - PSA & CGC GPA 7 .
Issued by Topps in 1966, the Batman Riddler Back series marked the fifth and final installment in the company's wildly successful run of Batman trading cards released during the peak of the 1960s "Batmania" craze. This 38-card color set features photo-based artwork inspired by the hit Batman television series starring Adam West and Burt Ward. Each card front showcases vibrant, comic-style scenes of Batman and Robin battling iconic villains such as The Joker, Catwoman, Penguin, and The Riddler, while the card backs contain colorful illustrations of the Riddler posing riddles to collectors - hence the set's nickname. Combining the campy spirit of the TV show with Topps' signature pop-art design, the Riddler Back cards close out the 1966 Batman run with style, humor, and undeniable nostalgic charm.

Included as a special insert with the 1966 Topps Batman Riddler Back trading cards, the Secret Decoder was a small red plastic lens used to reveal the hidden answers printed on the back of each card. When held over the riddle text, the red film filtered out the background pattern, allowing the solution to appear in clear, readable print. Designed to engage young fans in Batman's world of mystery and clever puzzles, the decoder added an interactive twist to the set-turning each card into a mini "Bat-challenge." Today, surviving examples of the decoder, especially with their original packaging, are prized collector's items that complete the full Riddler Back experience.
