The Rolling Stones Cannes MIDEM Music Industry Awarded to the Rolling Stones (1966). Vintage original French award by MIDEM (Marché International du Disque et de l'Édition Musicale) in Cannes, presented to the Rolling Stones in 1966. Measuring 7" x 5.5" x 2.75" overall and constructed from brass, the shaped award with central groove for - fittingly during the ceremony - a record disc, and frontal plaque engraved "Trophee National MIDEM / 1965 1966 / Great Britain / DECCA / THE ROLLING STONES." Provenance: Bonhams, September 13, 2001, 355 (part). Exhibits surface wear and staining consistent with age. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
