The Rolling Stones (2) BRAVO German Promotional Posters (ca.1965). (2) Vintage promotional posters made in Germany for the "BRAVO" publication in the mid-1960s. Printed red paper posters each measuring 10.5" x 14.5", (1) emblazoned with a striking image of Mick Jagger and the tagline "Wirbel un die Rolling Stones" ("Whirl with the Rolling Stones"); and (1) with portrait of the full band and the tagline "Sie Kommen! Grosse BRAVO-Tournee mit den Rolling Stones" ("They're Coming! Huge BRAVO tour with the Rolling Stones"). Despite their huge and global success, the Rolling Stones did not play in Germany until their 1965 European Tour - an important occasion grasped with both hands by BRAVO magazine and its avid readership. BRAVO also hosted a major German awards ceremony each year, which the Stones would regularly be nominated for or win.
