Star Trek: The Original Series (Paramount TV, 1966-1969), Final Draft Script from Episodes "The Menagerie, Part 1 and 2". Vintage original final draft script for Season 1, Episodes 12 and 13, "The Menagerie", a two-part episodic written by Gene Roddenberry that was reworked from the original rejected pilot episode, "The Cage", studio-bound 64-page (as paginated), bradded on mimeographed paper and dated October 7th, 1966. Contains blue-revision pages dated up to October 10th, 1966, as well as handwritten signature from a production member reading "Lana Baikie" in black pen to gray studio wrap. Studio wrap includes numbered stamp mark to upper righthand corner, likely indicating printing number. The two-part story follows Spock acting rather suspiciously, faking a message from his former commander, Christopher Pike, and commandeering the USS Enterprise to travel to the forbidden planet Talos IV. Court-martialed for kidnapping and mutiny, Spock reveals his intentions with footage of the planet's inhabitants named the Talosians, who use illusions via telepathy to trick the likes of Captain Kirk and Pike. Exhibiting expected age and handling, including a vertical cover crease along the spine and edgewear, with inside pages presenting well. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
