Forbidden Planet (MGM, 1956), Reproduction Blaster Pistol. Replica blaster pistol brandished by the crew of the C-57D Starship in Forbidden Planet, constructed of a vacuum-formed plastic body and grip with acrylic resin and wood components to simulate the look of a science fictional ray gun as seen in the original film. Item measures 10.5" x 6.25" x 3" and contains a clickable trigger to mimic the firing action of a pistol. The blaster pistol is the weapon of choice for Commander Adams (Leslie Nielson), leader of the expedition to the planet Altair IV, who uses the weapon to confront the Id monster both in front of his ship and in the Krell lab. Exhibiting expected age and handling, with part of acrylic tip chipped off and small scratches on back of body. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
