Sex and the Single Girl (TCF, 1964), Natalie Wood "Helen Gurley Brown" Costume Sketch by Edith Head. Vintage original costume sketch accomplished in gouache, graphite, and ink on 14" x 17" artist's paper by legendary costume designer Edith Head. Illustration depicts a full-length figure in a fitted white ankle-length sleeveless evening gown with a deep v-neck and long dress gloves. Includes various production notes, including "Sc. 23/Helen Int. at Kitchen" and "add diamond broach [sic] for addit." Also exhibits faint shadows of Head having reworked the sketch at shoulders, from short sleeves to sleeveless, as worn by Helen Gurley Brown (Natalie Wood) in several scenes of the film, as well as a number of various poster and print advertising materials. Unsigned. Exhibits age and production handling. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
