Janis Joplin, James Cotton Blues Band 1969 Wichita, KS Concert Poster. An original first-printing concert poster, made on orange paper with metallic blue-grey inks, for Janis Joplin & Her Band appearing in a "Concert in the Round" at the Henry Levitt Arena located at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas on Friday night, October 24, 1969.

Janis is depicted in no less than four photographs on the poster, even substituting for the "i" in her name at the top. And then how can you beat that dreamy gaze into the camera in the poster's biggest photo? Maybe with that cool shot of her singing at the microphone? Or are they all topped by the famous picture of her with that mischievous smile from the Cheap Thrills album sleeve? A beautiful, standout piece that was used for only two of her shows, this and Oklahoma City the night after. Measures 17 1/2'' x 22 1/8" and grades to Very Good condition.
