Description
Surak Long-Range Vulcan Shuttle Filming Miniature from Star Trek: The Motion Picture (Paramount, 1979). Vintage original model miniature constructed of resin and expertly studio painted in pink hues with numerous Vulcan decals, with mounting plate on the underside. Wired with LEDs, electronics untested. This is the iconic ship that delivers Commander Spock (Leonard Nimoy) to assist his crewmembers and friends on the USS Enterprise. Co-designed by Andrew Probert and Richard Taylor, the Surak quickly became a fan-favorite, as it was the very first Vulcan spacecraft to appear in the Star Trek franchise. This studio model was built at Magicam/Astra Image Corporation and was filmed on one of Douglas Trumbull's stages at Future General Corporation. The Surak became a popular AMT model kit. Measuring 32.5" x 17.5" x 8.5". Exhibiting age, production handling, damage to the back corners, missing some small exterior panels, minor paint chipping and scuffing. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the Collection of Greg Jein.Heritage Auctions provides as much information as possible but strongly encourages in-person inspection.
