Description

Screen used "K-7 Space Station" Filming Model Miniature from the Classic Episode: "Trials and Tribble-ations" of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (Paramount TV, 1993-1999). In this episode, Captain Sisko (Avery Brooks) and the crew of the USS Defiant travel back to the time of the Star Trek Original Series episode "The Trouble with Tribbles" to stop a saboteur from killing Captain Kirk and changing the timeline. The episode, made to honor the 30th anniversary of Star Trek, is considered one of the best Deep Space Nine episodes. This model was made by legendary Oscar-nominated model maker Greg Jein who replicated the K-7 Space Station seen in the original episode. Constructed of fiberglass, resin and plastic with steel substructure, expertly finished to exacting detail in industrial grays with some colored lighting elements. With "Federation of Planets" text across the crown of the central hub of the station and other badging on the satellite of pods surrounding it. The realistic miniature measures 60" diameter x 48" tall and is mounted in its original steel armature with sprocket rig for rotating the model in production. The upper cone marked "K-7" was recreated by professional model maker Matt Green. It was matched precisely to the original, even down to the placement of the windows. An iconic filming miniature, representing both the Original Series and Deep Space Nine. Electronics present but untested. Exhibiting production wear and handling. In Good to Very Good condition. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
