Description

Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow Mixed Media/Decoupage Portrait A 9" x 13.5" mixed media/decoupage portrait of Mia Farrow and Frank Sinatra, appearing in medieval Renaissance-style finery. Unusual portrait captures the very unusual marriage of Frank and Mia, who wed July 19, 1966; the groom was 50, the bride 21. The union was brief; a year later, Mia refused Frank's dictate to quit Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby and join her husband's film The Detective, so Sinatra served her divorce papers -- on the set of Rosemary's Baby. Frank looks his jaunty self here, although Mia appears as if she's already sensing trouble in paradise. Picture is mounted on a 12" x 16.5" backing. A striking curio from a very curious marriage, in Excellent condition. From the Jilly Rizzo Estate Archive.
