Description
Boris Karloff 1930s Candid Photos. This trio of candid b&w photos of Boris Karloff all date from the late 1930s. The shots are copies of originals and include a 7.5" x 9.5" shot of the horror star relaxing between tennis rounds; a picture of a bespectacled Boris, his head shaved for Tower of London, with wife Dorothy by a snack bar; and a 5" x 8" picture of Boris (hair still growing back) escorting his mother-in-law. Nice variety, with Karloff in the tennis shot looking rather like a matinee idol. Excellent condition. From the Boris Karloff Estate Collection. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Sara Karloff Sparkman.Heritage Auctions provides detailed information when available but strongly encourages in-person inspection. Condition statements and photographs are offered as general guidance only, not as complete representations of facts, and do not constitute a warranty or assumption of liability by Heritage.
