Description

Dinah Washington Signed Contract. A single-page agreement on Columbia Records letterhead, dated October 4, 1951, signed by Washington in blue ink. The agreement mutually terminated her contract with the label. Washington had previously been signed to Mercury Records, but felt that her contract had been violated, and subsequently signed with Columbia. After much legal wrangling, she was forced to sign this document and return to Mercury. The document is in Very Fine condition with mild edge wear and staple and file holes to the top edge. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
