Playboy Centerfold Color Proofs - Hugh Hefner Signed (Playboy, 2002-05). Before the slick centerfolds appear in Playboy, there's a certain proofing and approval process that must take place. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it! And Hugh Hefner is one of them. In the process several people review an 11" x 23" color print (slightly larger than the magazine's centerfold dimensions) on beautifully rich photographic paper, making critical comments about areas of concern to be addressed in the final stages of readying the photograph for magazine publication, and finally initialing approval. At the top of the column of approvers is Hugh Hefner himself, and his bold initials grace two of the three proofs offered here. Each giant photo is mounted on illustration board, and has an acetate overlay where the editors can make their comments. The Playmates displayed here are Tina Jordan (February, 2002), Laura Fetter (May, 2003), and Amanda Paige (October, 2005). From the Archives of Playboy Entertainment.
