Description

Monterey International Pop Festival Poster (1967). The classic foil poster, for the event that launched the short but dynamic careers of both Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, and featured memorable performances by the cream of the current Rock scene: the Who, Buffalo Springfield, Eric Burden and the Animals, Moby Grape, even Ravi Shankar. Near Mint examples of this first-printing poster are always tough to come by. This copy has had some water damage (particularly noticeable on the backside), which has caused some of the ink along the upper left corner to wear thin, but it remains a very powerful and attractive poster. It measures approximately 12.25" x 21.5", and is in Good + condition.
