Billy Wilder Signed Documents and Photo Archive. This lot includes three documents signed by Billy Wilder: a June 4, 1942, document for Equitable Investment Corporation; a typed letter dated May 5, 1955, to Equitable Investment Corporation; a September 8, 1966, receipt from Title Insurance and Trust Company; Certificate of Membership in the Motion Picture Division of the 1940 Campaign to Elect Franklin D. Roosevelt and Henry A. Wallace; August 25, 1986, deed for a cemetery plot from James and Clarence Pierce Mortuaries; Wilder's January 1947 typed essay "The Case for the American Film," pertaining to The Lost Weekend; program notes for "A Tribute to Billy Wilder"; typed letter to Rex Cole, Equitable Investment Corporation, from Maxwell Arnow, Columbia Pictures, October 17, 1955; 28 b&w 8" x 10" production stills (one signed by Wilder and dated "94") showing the director with Erich von Stroheim (Sunset Boulevard), Charles Brackett, Ray Milland, Paul Whiteman, Ingrid Bergman, Mickey Rooney, Claudette Colbert, Joan Fontaine, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Maurice Chevalier, and others; two b&w 5" x 7" photos, one of Wilder in uniform during World War II; and one of Wilder with Erich von Stroheim; and three 4" x 5" b&w photos, one showing Wilder with Kirk Douglas.
